| | | | Joined: Jun 2021 Posts: 13 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2021 Posts: 13 | I’m starting to assemble the intake and exhaust manifolds on my 1957 235 and of the four bolts or studs that hold the two manifolds together, two are short and the two that would be closest to the engine head are long. The short ones would bolt the two surfaces together, but the long ones have about a ¾” gap between the surfaces. I have looked around for spacers from when I disassembled it a year ago and was pretty careful to bag and label all the parts but can’t find any. Are there no spacers on those long bolts to allow the bolts to be tightened? I can’t find any torque specs for these bolts as to allude to the longer ones just not being very tight.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
