I did not compute that the 19.5 tire would be so much smaller and completely agree. That was a close one. The link to the bus project by Fred is very helpful. I was starting to go down the adapter path but got scared off. I guess I have to source 235/80/22.5 tires - expensive but look good. I have found black steel wheels 22.5 x 7.50 that would work with adapters that go down to the 4.75 diameter.
