Wow! I can sense your pain and despair of losing your tools and structure..especially since they were most likely a direct link to all the fond memories that you had experienced with them.
I never considered the implications of those lithium ion batteries in a dormant state.
I was always anal about leaving any batteries unattended while being charged but your situation is a game changer.
Going forward I will respect those batteries to the level I do with rotating grinding wheels!
