I asked about the year, and gmc vs chevy, and he wasn't sure. He said he would check and might have the info, but I wouldn't bet on it.
I think the wheels and engine are gone, and he won't have info on either. He assured me it was indeed an advanced design model, one ton,
1950 to 1953. This is a bare chassis. He said the front was intact, and the axles were off in the rear. Probably all I have to work with other
than seeing it, and measuring what ever I can. Thanks for the responses! It's 100 miles away, but that seems to be as close as I can find!
