), the ID breaks down like this:
8 - Built in Atlanta, GA
PW - 2 Ton
L - Assembled in December
As kb and Steve pointed out, many jurisdictions titled these old trucks using the engine serial number rather than the truck ID number. Could be problematical if the engine is ever swapped out. You might want to see what it would take to get your title "corrected" (never tell DMVs that you want to "change" something) to match the ID plate.
