After examining the 8 external head bolts (ones outside the valve cover) taken out to remove the head from my 1957 235 I notice that one is different. It is the farthest to the back on the driver's side and has a thicker (taller) head and the shank is the same diameter all the way from the head to the threads which is unlike the others that are tapered slightly to a bit smaller diameter about 3/8" below the head to the threads. Does anyone know if this is normal or has someone replaced that head bolt with something different than stock?
