Here's the two regulators. First pic is for a 47-50, and the second is for 51-55 trucks.
Both use a similar flat stock spring, but it appears they're a bit different.
The vendors sell the stem and pinion gear with housing for the 47-50 style as a repair, but I don't see a spring that goes in there (the round stock one in your second picture?) or one like that for either style regulator. I've never seen the flat stock spring available. Maybe a member here has an old regulator with a good spring that could fix yours. Post in the swap meet forum your need.
