Actually the one that got away from me was a 1955 Nomad six cylinder with overdrive.(need I say rare?) Little old lady in Oakland, it had fifty eight thousand on it with no damage at all. I was beat out on this one by about six minutes! It went for less than $1500.00 in 1985. Trust me that was a great deal, even if I just parked it as is, today it would be worth over $35k.
I lost out on another 1951 Suburban, complete with all three seats, radio and other options. This one was a beauty, I lost the address and couldn't find it again!
When you have been collecting for over thirty years, there's lot's of "I missed" deals..........
