I learned something to day about the original hubcaps. tried to weld on spot near the rim. when cleaning up the weld there was separationat the weld. talked to a friend who had been in the body shop business for fifty years and he told me there was a thin covering over the base metal. Almost impossible to weld. will try to build up with jb weld.
