According to the Stovebolt paint tech tip and the '53 Vehicle Info Kit, Juniper Green replaced Forester Green as the standard paint color in '53 and later models, but your truck's original color sure looks like Forester Green to me. The cab pinstriping would have been cream for either Forester Green or Juniper Green. Maybe your truck was an early production in that model year and was painted with leftover Forester Green. ohwell Maybe the painter was Joe Green and wanted to autograph his work. grin
You might try and match it up with Forester Green and see if it's closer.
