Two years ago I purchased a 6400 Chev, 235 babbit engine, 4 speed trans and 2 speed axel with 8.25x20 tires. I had driven it around the block just after buying it. I drove to Kansas from Colorado (225 miles) and drove the big truck back with not a single problem. It was hot, about 98, when I left Kansas. At 45 MPH tops, with cowel, side vent and both windows opened it wasn't to bad. Did not try the interstate, stayed on secondary roads and filled up at every gas staion as it gets pretty bleak in western KS and eastern CO.
