78buckshot 'Bolter 7 Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,994 Southeast Michigan	As far as I know every axle has an atmospheric vent, all of my GM rears have been on the drivers side axle tube or high on the center section. The vent on my '57 two ton is a short stub of pipe with a type of cap to prevent dirt from entering. 1957 Chevrolet 5700 LCF 283 SM420 2 speed rear, 1955 IH 300U T/A, 1978 Corvette 350 auto, 1978 Yamaha DT175, 1999 Harley Davidson Softail Fat Boy
