I have restored a few camaros back to bare metal and my 50 chev ute.

I find best results are gained from removing all panels, repair the rust, put everything into an epoxy primer, top coat in desired colour all the jambs and sills and inner areas. Assemble the vehicle and then do a full exterior respray
