I will start by saying I'm not completely sure what you are talking about. But if it's what I imagine, I would be very careful about anything that would cover the exhaust system. If you ever had an exhaust leak, and the gasses could somehow collect under the vehicle, a rich running engine condition combined with a spark could be a big problem. More like a big BOOM! Do the big car makers cover the exhaust system when skinning the bottom of the vehicle?
