Here is the “Front Fender Brace & Bracket Instructions” from the “47-54 Truck Factory Assembly Manual” and doesn’t say specific what years have these braces. Not positive but I believe all AD trucks came with them but there is an easy to tell if you truck originally came with them. Look at the firewall on both sides of the tunnel for two bolt holes on about 1” apart in the horizontal direction with captured nuts behind them. If you have that, you need the braces. I posted a picture of where mine are located. My truck didn’t have them either.

There available from allot of the online vendors and on eBay.
