As long as there's some valve clearance, you're goimg to be in pretty good shape even if it's not right on spec. As the valves and seats wear, the clearance decreases, so it wouldn't hurt to start adjusting those valves a little more frequently. We used to do a valve adjustment as part of a tuneup- - - -twice a year or every 10K miles, whichever came first.
