It was almost like Xmas the other day, all of the parts that were on back order showed up. One of the parts that showed up was a Lokar foot operated parking brake unit. Since the truck now has a column shift, I did not want a floor mounted parking brake.
I have been thinking about what I was going to do with the interior of the truck. Originally they were painted, the GMC's were a dark medium brown color, with a slight crinkle texture, Since all of the interior panels are removable from the cab, I have decided to have the panels powder coated with a satin color close to the original. I think it will be cost effective to powder coat the panels/pieces because the PC shop will strip the old finish and or rust, prime the surface and powder coat the exposed sides for a reasonable price.
