I used VHT brand exhaust manifold paint on the cast-iron exhaust manifold of my '72 Chevy 250; it's kind of a stainless steel color.
So far it's holding up ok; you do have to really clean the part first, and thoroughly de-grease (Brake-kleen), and after the part dries to touch, your supposed to bake it at 500-600 degrees for at least an hour to "cure it".
(Don't try it in the kitchen, if you're married! No amount of scientific logic will convince the wife!)
I "cooked" mine in the gas grill.
This Rutland Stove black has me curious though...
