If I can figure out what you are talking about(picture would help) those devices are located in two places, depending on which manifolds they secure, no chance to get the wrong fit. Make sure to use brass nuts, easily secured at Mc Master-Carr, etc. if you ever want to take it apart again.
Also do not tighten the inter manifold bolts until both manifolds are secured to the head first,
