I have a big block Chevy drivetrain installed in my 46 Chev 1/2 ton with a Chev Nova rear end. Problem is the universal joint bearings on the big block driveshaft is too large by about an eighth of an inch and therefore won't fit onto the Nova rear end. My question is can you take the universal joint ends apart and install smaller diameter bearings to fit the rear end or do I have to weld onto the driveshaft a complete rear yoke and universal joint. The driveshaft has to be cut and balanced so I was thinking the latter. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Bob T
