Gentlemen,
When installing my latest 1954 235 engine in my '53 truck, I opted for a modern-style remote oil filter unit that uses a spin-on type filter. My oil pressure pegs out the 30 lb. gauge at idle, but decreases to the 15-20 lb. range at higher rpm. I know the engine is the "high pressure" 235 and this seems like too low an oil pressure. I know that the "full flow" oil filter decreases oil pressure. What are some acceptable guidelines? Thanks for the advice.
