Here's a pic of the original 2-circuit fuse box on my '51. Should be the same as your '49.

[on edit] My bad. I didn't realize '50-51fuse boxes are different than on '48-49 trucks. The headlight circuits are protected by the circuit breaker on the headlight switch apparently, since the two fuses on '50 and later are just for tail and stop lights.
