When GM decided to stop installing Carter carbs on Chevy sixes and use their own carbs instead, the CEO of Carter vowed to sell a million replacement carburetors for the Rochester B. It took a few years to do it, but when that 1-millionth Carter replacement carb came off the assembly line, they gold-plated it and presented it to the CEO of General Motors!
