If you happen to have a sound system with a memory for preset radio stations, a clock, or other functions that require a "keep alive" circuit, you'll need to put the heavy current switch on the hot side of the battery and run a dedicated low-current fused circuit that supplies constant voltage to the items that don't need to have their power interrupted.
