I bought two HF units, the $10 one which has a slide switch that is a PITA to use, and it wore out the shaft bushing when I put a cup brush on it. The other was the $20 paddle switch unit that has been my go-to for my restoration work. It's still running strong since I bought it at least 4 years ago. When the really cheapo one went bad, I bought a spare paddle switch unit for backup. It hasn't seen any service yet, and I'm on the downhill side of needing it for my truck work. All of them are corded. My experience with battery powered drills/impact drivers is that when you need to use it, the battery needs charging, delaying the work.
