The 1953 3100 restomod that I had was paint code 341. In researching Canadian codes back in 2013, I found that the numbers provided to me then by tclederman were correct for 1954.
The first digit of "4" indicated the model year in that era and the next two digits were the colour. So, the 441 Coppertone was from 1954. The Coppertone of 1953 was designated as 341.
I'm not sure about other years, but for 1953 and 1954, that was the formula.
