For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 25 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 25 | My Chevy truck has a 350 engine with a Stock GM HEI distributer with Vacume advance, RV cam, Holly carb and manifold, 350 trans. My problem is that the engine starts and runs good but goes flat and nearly stalls when I shift into drive. I have to feather the gas to accelerate to about 5 mph then the engine runs well. I have set timming to 7 Degrees advanced at Idle with vacume disconnected. when I connect the vacume the advance climes to about 35 degrees adv. Any suggestions as to the solution to my problem, ignition or carb? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. | | |
