Just take it a bit at a time, take breaks and you'll wind up with that lock strip looking like nothing ever touched it. Keep some Dawn soap and popsicle sticks handy (or I was also told that Murphy's Oil Soap is good to use, but I didn't have any). And a nice straight and smooth screwdriver (hopefully you saw that in my post). The same gentleman told me cursing was ok when you were putting in the chrome lock strip but mine went well enough I didn't have to do too much of that. Be certain to cut the weatherstrip rubber and the lock strip longer than you actually need. Time makes it shrink.
