Yes, I believe that is a limited slip carrier. If the ring gear was turned 90 degrees where the clutch pack tabs were visible, it would be pretty obvious. That type has 4 spider gears, arranged in such a way that different axle speeds with power applied to the driveshaft makes the clutches try to engage and match the axle speeds to each other. You'll need to learn to "cost" around sharp turns, as applying throttle makes the vehicle try to "straighten out the turn".
