I am playing with ideas to store spare tire inside of 62 1/2 ton suburban. I see that others have used a fleetside bed wheel tub, inverted and modded through the floor. Tidy but seems extreme to cut the floor to the extent needed. Does anyone have knowledge of and pictures of a bracket or other method to secure the spare inside?
Attached is a picture of something of interest to me. If someone can talk me through what the picture may indicate, then I would appreciate your thoughts. I see the butt end of a brace, that maybe is fastened with sheetmetal screws through the interior wall of body.
