Find a bellhousing crossmember from a 54 or early 55 truck, and the cast iron V8 type bell housing with the angled motor mounts will bolt onto it. That will handle the back end of the 292, which has the same shape as a V8. An add-on crossmember can be adapted to fit the offset front motor mounts, and you'll have a 4-point mounting for the engine. The cast iron T-10 will hang off the bellhousing, with or without a tailshaft mount. A hotrodded 292 can make some serious torque, especially if you play some games with the intake ports.
