Dieseling is usually caused by a too-lean idle mixture and too high an idle speed. Go a little richer on the idle mixture screw (counterclockwise), and turn the speed down so you can almost count the fan blades as they turn. Unless you've got a radical camshaft and/or a vacuum leak, the engine should idle down to less than 500 RPM.
