A local listing of a ccp brake kit caught my attention but was curious about the size of rotors everyone has on there kits .I measured the backing plate on the original drum and looks like 12 inches .I have 15 inch aftermarket rims ,white spoke from the mid 80,s.It does not look like there is much room around the original drum so I would think that a 12 inch rotor would fit but not with the Caliper mounted on top.Also the rotors in these kits for a 6 lug original pattern are they a rotor from a newer model truck or car or are they a special rotor only sold by one of the venders for theses old trucks .The kit has the tapered bearings included but no master cylinder .I not sure if I would try to purchase the kit as the asking price is 500 and is more than likely been sitting for a few years.I don’t mind the drum brakes but the opportunity is available to buy local if I can make a deal. Thoughts please.
