A 51 frame is designed to have a great deal of flex in it. That is why the cabs are mounted on shackles. It is what prevents cab sheet metal fatigue damage to the cab when going over rough terrain.
S10s and Rangers frames do not flex, therefor they do not require shackle mounts.
