Yes there is, it is some type of compound, somewhat like neoprene I guess. If I remember correctly, each half has a spring internally embedded to provide tension (I guessing). I was able to get them at NAPA auto parts here. I tried two of them and while they helped, they didn't stop the leak entirely. Others have had the same experience, while some have had them work for them. I actually got a set in my 261 gasket- engine rebuild kit. If I still have it, I would be glad to send it to you if you can't acquire one locally.
