I just finished installing a small block into my 53 1/2 ton.I used 2 78-81 chevelle exhaust manifolds from the driver side.Driverside dumps in the back,and the other side dumps in front, just like the 55-56 265 exhaust manifolds do and I found mine at an antique car swap meet for $5.00. I did move my box over 1 3/4"s however and my inner fenders still fit without cutting.I might add that I used 55-57 Chev passenger car mounts front and back as well as a crossmember on the tranny.That means I have a 5 point mounting for the drive train ,I feel more secure that way as opposed to useing the 3 point mounting system.My engine ain't going any where.
