The yards are full of scrap that brings nothing on the market so they are not buying which means individuals can make killer deals. We bought a 2004 3/4T pickup, a 2004 Suburban, a 2002 Tahoe 4wd, and a 2008? Z71 Tahoe 4wd, all for $500 each. All run and drive and and have LS engines. Buying a whole running vehicle helps keep problems minimized when doing a swap. We could use another half dozen but getting rid of a dead carcass is a problem. The nearest yard that will take one for FREE is 50 miles away and we have to haul it to him.
