If you're wanting to continue with a mechanical pump, this might be a better alternative. I can not tell you where the Carter pumps are made for certain, but on other forums people believe they're made in China. And those may not have any resistance to ethanol blended gas. If you'd be interested in changing to an electric pump, I can tell you the one I've used for over 20 years with good luck. It is made in China, but most of them are and this one doesn't mind ethanol in the gas.
