Huh, I always thought it was just four bolts to remove the transmission from the bellhousing once the driveshaft was removed. Personally I'd removed the transmission first, but his is out and he is moving forward. Am I mistaken, isn't there a removable center hump in the 4-speed trucks and the transmission is installed/removed via that giant hole in the bottom of the cab? I know the '63 manual shows them being installed/removed in this manner. Perhaps it was different before '63. I don't know, I was even born yet...lol...
