Look at the motor mounts. The 292 is the only engine with them offset side to side. The 194, 230, and 250 have mounts directly across from each other, and the same distance from the bellhousing as a V8. The passenger's side mount on a 292 is about 3 inches further forward than the driver's side mount. The HEI distributor with the large diaqmeter housing and cap will fit the earliuer engines with point-type distributors.
