Mine is a 1940 1.5 ton WB with 158 wheebase. That’s right about 13 feet. I used a rented 18 ft trailer from Tate’s rents. If mine were much longer I don’t think the 18 ft trailer would’ve worked.
I towed it with a 2011 F150 ecoboost with the max tow package and airbags, it towed like a dream. Tate’s rents also had a 20 ft trailer but they wouldn’t rent that one to me unless I had a 3/4 ton or up. Even though my F150 has the max tow package (11,200 rating) they wouldn’t rent me the 20 footer, they only go by the model of the truck, not the manufacturers actual trailer tow rating.
