Thanks for the add!! I recently got my hands on a '52 5window. We "found" it inside one of my dad's barns back home in Texas. He did not want it to go to waste, so he gave it to me and my son. Can't wait to get back home in the spring and bring it down for us to get it running again. I have already seen tons of info on here about the truck. My son has been "snooping" around as well.
It was running in the early 90s so I hope it doesn't take a whole lot to get it back on the road. My son wants to learn how to drive the "three on the tree" instead of an automatic. We will see!! The truck has been covered in burlap sacks and saddles since about 89-90. Dad she was running great the last time he drove it. Was rough restoring it when he got hurt on the job, never got back to it. Kinda like his '31 Ford. Some surface rust here and there. Not sure about the hood. Tires need replacing of course. Will probably replace basic electrical components if necessary. My son wants it running by his senior year in high school. Gives me another year to get everything going. My only decision is whether or not to do a full restore or wait. Truck even comes with its own custom bullet holes. Not so LOL.
