Jerry I hear you loud and clear, and this isn't a performance build. Its to have a solid running, street driving motor with a nostalgic sound and appearance. This thing is never going to win any races, especially with the factory '41 Chevy 3 speed box and 4.11 gears in the back. So you nailed it and I think your cam suggestions will work well. As for everyone else's suggestions, thank you also! It gives me a lot to research and consider...and tons of good leads on parts. Awesome.
