I did some checking around on various web sites and it seems the consensus is that you can shoot epoxy primer over EDP, after scuffing it a bit with a scotchbrite pad. I would also wipe down with wax and grease remover.
Check to be sure it's really EDP by wiping with a lacquer thinner soaked rag. If it comes off, it's not EDP.
