I've just finished welding in some replacement panels that were coated at the factory with black EDP coating. I want to prep the panels for painting first with epoxy primer, to be followed by primer and finish coats. My question: what is the proper preparation for the panels coated with EDP--does it need to be entirely removed, scuffed, or what?
