I,d go for the 350. The 305,s are sluggish. Take a hard look at the 350 core. If it doesn,t need boreing or crank turned & you can do a minor o-haul yourself you can buy an o-haul kit for about $250 & have the heads done at a machine shop. Other then that I would go for a new Goodwrench engine like has been discussed on some other posts.
