My pilot bushing went bad by 3000 miles. Most of the common suppliers sell steel pilot bushings. I wasn't savvy enough to realize the yellow tinged bushing I installed was steel. I am in the process of replacing it with a OEM bronze one that comes with some internal grooves. Don't know that this is your issue but just a head's up. Wish I knew about the differences when I put the truck together.
