And please check to be certain the power piston vacuum port is still present. These get knocked off or broken off by Mr. Genius Rebuilder and while he doesn't care, if your air horn (and float bowl) are warped (which is almost a guarantee), your power piston won't receive enough vacuum and will leave your power valve constantly open (which will make this poor thing run about twice too rich). Here's how I repaired one which was missing the port completely...
