I'm having a 1954 235 put in to replace my 216. Motor is in and I'm using the old starter from the 216. I's having trouble turning the motor over. Yes it's 6 volts. Rebuilt generator, new regulator but I believe 40 year old starter.
Would rebuilding the starter fix the issue? I'm sure the 225 will take a little more juice to turn over but it still should be able to do it. Very quick advice needed! Thanks!
