We just brought my 'new' 46 Chevy pickup home yesterday. It's my first time restoring a vehicle and I would love input on preserving what paint he has left without making the surface rust darker/shiny.

I've had Linseed Oil recommended a few times as well as Ankor Wax (also recommended for the PTO). Edited to add that I'm in the US, and I'm not sure I can get Ankor Wax... Recommendations of a US equivalent would be greatly appreciated.

I'll attach a picture of Bruno's current state, as well as a picture of what I'm hoping for (checkmark on the door) and what I'm wanting to avoid (X on the door).
